PROMOTING POSITIVE
LEADERSHIP
AND TEAM COLLABORATION

Born and raised in Madera, California, Steve attended Madera High School and graduated, as Class of 1998. From a very young age, Steve was fascinated with buildings and construction. It was through his high school engineering academic program that truly confirmed Steve’s passion for construction. In 2005, Steve received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Construction Management Engineering from California State University, Fresno. Steve received his first check from a Contractor at a very early age- eight years old, to be exact, for his assistant as extra help to the project by cleaning up the site and cleaning floor space for safety use. To date, Steve has provided supervision for his employer, managing team of staff and overseeing and managing multimillion dollar such as retail centers, heavy civil roadwork, industrial improvements, medical facilities, residential master pieces such as the Frank Lloyd Wright restoration, a special recognized project that Steve was a part of and contributed greatly with pride and precision. Steve has chosen to reside locally in Fresno County to give back to his community through the work he produce as a result of his career and through job selection. Steve enjoys the simple things in life and values his family relationship and his connection with his community, which is of positivity. Steve is also engaged with his community and recently took part in leading a two year high school name campaign and led it to victory. With his family and community support, Steve was able to convince and influence the Board of Education in Madera to name the new high school in honor of his beloved mother, and the new high school in Madera, California is officially called Matilda Torres High School (MTHS). It is scheduled to open 2019 and everyone is welcome to join Steve and his family next year for the opening of MTHS.
